Traffic accident

Road users, whether pedestrians, passengers or drivers may sometimes be injured or killed in traffic accidents as a result of other people’s negligence or recklessness. The wrongdoer(s) may face criminal liability. Apart from that, the injured person or the deceased’s family can also commence a civil action in court against the wrongdoer(s) for compensation. For example, a pedestrian on the road who is knocked down by a vehicle running the red traffic light, and passengers who sustained injury on a public transport vehicle that was hit from behind by another vehicle may claim against the wrongdoers.
